Privacy Policy

Imamy is a free salah companion. We do not require an account, we do not sell your data, and nothing about your worship leaves your phone unless it is needed to give you accurate prayer times.

Summary

Your language and settings stay on your device. With your permission, your location is sent to the Aladhan API only to calculate prayer times for where you are, and is used on-device to point the Qibla compass toward the Kaaba. Notifications for adhan are scheduled locally on your phone. Quran audio may be downloaded from EveryAyah.com the first time you play a surah, and is then cached on your phone so it plays offline.

What we do not do

We do not show ads. We do not track you across apps or websites. We do not create an advertising profile. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. There is no analytics SDK quietly recording what you tap.

Your choices

You can deny or revoke location and notifications at any time from your system Settings. Imamy will keep working without them, you just will not get location based prayer times or adhan reminders. Uninstalling the app removes all local data from your phone.

Children

Imamy is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Account & data deletion

Imamy has no accounts, no sign-in, and no profile stored on our servers, so there is nothing to delete on our side. To delete everything Imamy keeps on your device:

Uninstall Imamy from your phone or tablet. This removes language preferences, settings, cached prayer times, cached Quran audio, and bookmarks stored by the app.

Or open Android Settings → Apps → Imamy → Storage → Clear data (or the equivalent on iOS: delete the app).

To revoke location access without uninstalling, open system Settings and turn off location for Imamy. Past requests to the Aladhan prayer-times API are not stored by Imamy; Aladhan may keep server logs under their own policy.

What is deleted

• Deleted when you uninstall or clear app data: language, settings, cached prayer times, cached Quran text and audio, bookmarks, and permission preferences stored locally.
• Not stored by Imamy on our servers: there is no account or profile to delete.
• May be retained by third parties (Aladhan, CDN hosts) according to their own policies; Imamy does not control those logs.

Retention: Local app data remains until you uninstall or clear app data. We do not keep copies on Imamy servers.

If this policy ever changes in a meaningful way, we will update it here and note the date below.
